What is elowel?

Elowel (pronounced L O L) is a free weblog (blog) community. It aims to feel sorta like the late, great killingmachines, but with some improvements.

These include avatars, an easy to use custom template engine, Livejournal style reply format system, reply notification, and much more. The goal of elowel is to “beat livejournal” because livejournal sucks.

Elowel also wants to have more of a community feeling than other journal sites.

Who made it?

Long ago Alex and Cody put the whole mess together.

Then Max joined the team and soon after Paul joined too. A couple years later David joined the team after winning a contest working with Paul and Max as a team.

Today Alex, David, Paul and Max strive to make elowel rock on the regular.
